Thirdway Alliance Party Leader Dr Ekuru Aukot had finally come out with names of politicians he claims are frustrating the Punguza Mizigo Bill which seeks to among others, slash representation.

In a press conference in Nairobi, Thursday, Aukot named Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi as part of the team, terming him cagey and blindly opposing it.

He bashed the former Deputy Prime Minister for having the audacity to poke holes into a bill he has not even taken his time to look into.

Aukot also went for Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo who had also been pouring cold water on the bill, wondering what he uses his education degrees for as he seems not to understand it.

According to the former presidential aspirant, the same goes to Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege, who he also bashed for frustrating the same.

He wondered why the two, both of whom sit in parliament, cannot understand a 17-page document, saying that the same brings their education credentials under question.

“I thought all these people have got some degree…If you cannot read a 17-page document, then how are you reading bills passed in Parliament which are complex? This is a betrayal of education,” said the constitutional lawyer as quoted by the Standard.

Amollo has been part of the group that had been discrediting the bill, urging Kenyans to await a separate one set to be proposed by the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
